Where have I been? What have I been doing fitness wise? Well, a lot has changed since I last posted. I'm now a mother of two young boys that have been keeping me busy and testing my sanity in ways I never imagined. 😂 I have created a home gym space using all Sunny Health & Fitness smart equipment that syncs to their fitness app in the past two years. We currently have an indoor bike, elliptical, treadmill, rower, and mini stepper. I've been using their app for all my home workouts with equipment and without the equipment. They also have workouts for step aerobics, Pilates, yoga, kettlebell, dumbbell, resistance bands, stability ball, and body weight.
I've recently (as of this week) gone back to using a Fitbit to track my steps a little more accurately. I was previously using an Amazon purchased clip on pedometer, which in my opinion, didn't track as well and I feel made me work extra hard at my 10k daily steps. 😄 In addition to going back to using my Fitbit, I signed up for my employer's health app where I am working on a fitness plan with a coach to lose my post baby weight and focus on a dietary plan that will get me results.
So for right now, my days of pole and aerial fitness based workouts are on the back burner with hopes of some day resuming those activities. My workouts have been more focused on at home workouts that allow my husband and I both to workout in the evenings while the boys play nearby then quickly off to the bedtime routine. I've also come to realize as I'm aging that my workout routine needs more active rest with foam rollers, massage balls, and stretching. Things are lot more sore the older I have gotten. As far as my blogging, I don't know if I will plan to continue writing. Maybe I will try to update along this new chapter of my fitness journey so I can document what worked and what needs to be changed.
